Denham

denhamOverview

Denham the Jeanmaker chose Charlotte Road EC2 as the perfect location to establish the first of their UK based tailor-made vintage appeal denim stores. True to the area, the store with its raw face brick walls and rugged antique oak floor, offers the ideal backdrop to show off the designs that Jason Denham brings to London.

Tech It Out was asked to provide a number of infrastructure and security services to ensure the office and retail space was up to the exacting standard that is expected from an exclusive fashion label.

Category 6 Networking

Brief: To install a robust, future proof and discrete Category 6 cabling infrastructure over 4 floors.
Care was taken in ensuring all of the cables were discretely installed, routing cables via the antique oak floors and the galvanised perimeter trunking. The floors proved a real challenge, but great care was taken and good communication with the build manager helped to ensure the work was carried out successfully.

By going with Category 6 cabling, Denham will have the peace of mind that the gigabit network will support all of their MAC based hardware for years to come.
Once installed all of the points were tested and the installation now carries a 25-year warranty.

Intruder Alarm

Brief: To provide a monitored intruder alarm for the retail store and for the show rooms. The system would need to allow two zones, the retail store and the show rooms, to be monitored independently and ensure all areas over the four floors were adequately covered.

The challenge in installing the alarm system came from two areas;

a. Installing the control panels, motion sensors and cabling as discretely as possible, in a store that was in an advanced stage of the re-fit. Through careful planning and experience in challenging installations the work was carried out to a high standard.

b. Running cables to areas where cables could not be routed.

The only solution for this lay in installing RF motion sensors. These sensors ensure all areas were monitored in a way that offers maximum security to all vulnerable areas of the store.

The installation carries a NACOSS certificate of compliance.

CCTV Monitoring

Brief: A CCTV solution that monitors the retail and show room areas and would integrate into the client’s preferred security software.

A poor CCTV solution can be a waste of money. Poor quality cameras do not offer the ability to review captured footage in any detail, therefore offering little or no use to the client when needed most.

Understanding this and carefully optimising the camera locations the proposal was to install high definition cameras with the ability to monitor the required areas in detail. The cameras also offer a high contrast ratio and full colour detail.
The installation carries a NSI certificate of compliance.

Audio Visual Cabling

Brief: To install speaker cabling in the retail store to support the SONOS audio system, as well as power and FTP Category 6 cabling links to the projector in the retail store.
With three days to go before the stores launch party, Tech IT Out carried out the installation of the Audio Visual cabling to the high standard of the previous works. Having got to know the building and clients requirements the installation was carried out seamlessly.

Security Retail Tagging Antennae

Brief: To install a retail tagging antennae to integrate with the EAS tags that the client uses to tag the entire in-store clothing.
Working with a specialist security tagging partner, the system was installed problem free. The plexiglass finish of the antennae compliments the store design rather than proving an eyesore in such a design conscious space.
