Networks and Structured Cabling

A structured network cabling system is the cornerstone of just about every business today. Tio has the technical know-how to design the specification from scratch, and then complete the structured cabling installation from start to finish.

The demand on network cabling requirements is ever increasing in terms of capacity and performance. We offer the full range of designs in CAT5 and CAT6 as defined by the TIA/EIA-568B, offering performance of up to 250MHz. We are also able to supply a CAT6a service as defined in ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B.2-10, giving performance of 500MHz, or double the performance standard of CAT6.

We are partners with a range of datacomms suppliers in the UK, enabling us to offer a good range of services, from either value for money solutions, or high end installations. We are fully supported and installations can be backed up by a manufacturer’s 25 year warranty.

Where significant bandwidth is the requirement, a fibre optic cabling installation may be the answer. It is especially beneficial when you need to cover large distances at great speed whilst providing with considerable bandwidth. It is also to be considered when space is at a premium as fibre optic installations are not effected by electromagnetic interference (EMI), and can therefore be run in proximity to electrical services.

Our engineers are able to supply and install the latest multimode fibre solutions, or offer more flexible blown fibre techniques. Blown fibre will give our clients more flexibility, as it makes future upgrades easier, repairs simpler and has cost management benefits. It also allows for the absolute minimum of downtime or effect to the core business activities of the customer.

Wireless Site Surveys

Following a discussion with your I.T. management a wireless survey, (RF Survey,) will be carried out. This process will plan and design the wireless network to make sure it delivers the required coverage, data rates, network capacity, roaming capacity and quality of service (QoS).

The survey will involve a site visit to test for RF interference, and to identify optimum installation locations for the access points. This requires analysis of the building floor plans, inspection of the facility, and use of site survey tools.
