TIO were contracted in February 2013 to carry out a Structured cabling Project for Farnham Town Council, Farnham, Surrey. The project involved the centralising of all communication services to a single location.
The solutions involved the following services:
– Design of suitable CAT5e cabled network.
– Installation, Terminating and Testing of 66 New Category 5e Data Outlets.
– Installation, Terminating and Testing of a 25 Pair Voice Backbone.
– Installation, Terminating and Testing of a dedicated 16amp supply to New Server Cabinet.
– Supply and Installation of a 42u 800×1000 Server Cabinet.
– Supply and Installation of a colour coded patching system.
– Supply of a New 24 Way Gigabit Ethernet Switch.
The Project was delivered within a 7 day period, and included one evening for the move of active networking equipment across and on to the new structured cabling system.
On completion a 25 Year Excel Warranty was issued to cover the full installation.
TIO worked with Farnham Town Council’s IT & Telephony providers to ensure it was a smooth transition from the old network to the new.
